Overview
Swaziland, with a population of slightly over 1 million on 17,400 square kilometres of land, is a mountainous country landlocked by Mozambique and South Africa.

Team
Between the head office, warehouse and sub office, the WFP Logistics team in Swaziland numbers approximately 10 staff.

Activities
Port Operations
Matsapha also boast of most of the warehouses, and the main WFP Transhipment Point, is located in the same town. The WFP operation in the country involves receiving food from various entry points and delivering it to at least 6 extended delivery points, some managed by WFP and some by the NGOs.

Storage

Most warehouses used by WFP are located in Matsapha.

Road Transport
The country has a well developed road system, linking the country to South Africa and Mozambique . Most major roads are paved and most of the dirt/gravel roads are adequately maintained by the government and are accessible even during the rainy season.

Rail
A rail system linking the ports of Maputo and Durban to the main industrial town of Matsapha exists.

Aviation
There are no aviation services in Swaziland.
